Natalie and David buy a stunning new home with Help to Buy at Mason Park

When Natalie Eagle and her partner David Mais decided the time was right to take their first steps onto the property ladder, they were thrilled to discover the stunning two-bedroom 'Norfolk' coach house at Taylor Wimpey's Maple Park in Liphook, Hampshire.

The couple - who have been together five years and were previously renting a two-bedroom flat - reserved their pick of the plots at Maple Park in July last year, and moved into their new home at the end of November, just in time for the 2014 festive holidays!
Natalie (24), an accounts assistant for a power electrical supplies company, says: "We are really pleased with our new house - it is everything we had imagined it would be and more! We had our hearts set on Maple Park because it's just a 10-15 minute drive away from Bordon which is where my family live and also where I work.

"The development is really good for commuting too which is important for us because David works in London as a statistician for the Department for Transport in Westminster. Our new home is within walking distance of the railway station so David can get into London in just over an hour."

Natalie and David (24) used the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme at Maple Park, meaning they only required a deposit as low as 5% to secure the 'Norfolk'.

Natalie says: "We'd heard about Help to Buy but we both had our reservations and doubts because we didn't know enough about it. We visited the Maple Park Sales Information Centre and the Taylor Wimpey staff were really helpful when it came to explaining the scheme. We wouldn't have been able to afford our property without Help to Buy."

The couple reserved their new home off-plan, meaning they were able to take full advantage of the leading housebuilder's extensive interior Options range.

Natalie adds: "When we reserved in July, the property was only just having the ground works laid down, so we got to see the building at each stage of construction which was very exciting for us as first-time buyers.

"We were really quite surprised at just how many choices there were in Taylor Wimpey's Options range - we didn't have to spend lots of money to tailor the house to our tastes. Our favourite part of the house is the open-plan lounge/kitchen which opens out onto the roof terrace. There were a couple of other coach house designs at Maple Park but we really loved the outdoor space on the roof terrace which is why we went for the 'Norfolk'.

"The thought of buying our first place was quite daunting, but everyone at Taylor Wimpey has been so friendly, helpful and approachable!"

There's a superb selection of four-bedroom homes currently available at Maple Park priced from just £387,500. Maple Park enjoys a prime position within the Canada Way development, which lies just to the south of the centre of Liphook, and neighbours the village green which surrounds Liphook Millennium Hall.
